Tip No.3 - Prepare your online application well! Follow the 10 golden rules:

  1. Scan your certificates. Never use photos taken with your mobile phone. Only send .PDF files.

  3. Name the files accordingly. For example, "Müller's CV.pdf", "Müller's Bachelor's Certificate.pdf", etc.

  4. Also save your CV as a .PDF file. You can easily use this function in Word. This way you can ensure the graphic quality and leave a good impression on the employer.

  5. In the email, include a brief description of what you are looking for, when you are available for interviews, when you can start the new position and what qualifications you bring.

  6. Don’t forget to leave your contact details such as telephone number and address and check that they are correct.

  8. Watch out for spelling mistakes!

  9. Use standard fonts such as "Helvetica", "Times New Roman", "Avenir".

  10. Individualize your application. Start your email with a personal greeting "Dear Ms. ..., Dear Mr. ..." instead of "Dear Sir or Madam".
